Week #18

Posted on October 31, 2013

Take a photograph using an image capturing device that is totally inappropriate to the subject matter.

Mark adds…
“I once used a photofinish camera to take photos of people coming out of a pub. You might for example only employ a large format plate camera to photograph a car number plate, or produce an x-ray of a male model. Cameras and lenses are not generic devices… they are loaded with references, meanings, particular characteristics, and their own way of recording reality.”

Take a photograph of, or representative of, something normally immaterial or invisible. Such as sound, music, air pollution, toxic waste, love…
